While each of the recent months for Etherium miners is marked by record profits, for bitcoin miners April was a plateau - their profits showed a slight decline to $1.7 billion.
Bitcoin miners made $1.75 billion in profits in March, and they earned $50 million less in April. Considering that April has 30 days and March 31 days, the figure turns out to be almost the same.
It was in April that the rate of the first cryptocurrency exceeded $60,000. Interestingly, the share of profit from transaction fees increased noticeably in April. If in March the figure did not exceed 10% ($167.2 million), in April miners received $247 million from commissions, which is 14.51% of the total profit. This is the highest figure since the beginning of 2018.
